Fly with the Moon

The pale moon rises over the eastern tree line,
As the sun sets slowly in the west,
I sit and watch, and think of my life,
As I lay my head down to rest.
I feel the peace of the Goddess there,
As I bathe in her gentle light,
I think of the paths I could have taken,
Like stars in the dark of the night.
I wonder where they may have taken me,
If I had chosen a different way,
Would my life be better than it is,
Or would my heart be filled with dismay.
My head begins to whirl with the possibilities,
And I begin to second guess it all,
All of the decisions I ever made,
Did I rise up, or did I fall
As I begin to question everything I’ve done,
I feel the Goddess’ hands upon me,
Removing all of my self made doubt,
And showing me all that I need to see.
And there reflected in the light of the moon,
Right before me in the dark blue sky,
I see that I am who I need to be,
And that I should not wonder why.
The Goddess loves me exactly how I am,
She’s been there through every choice,
Her hands are upon my every move,
She speaks the truth through my own voice.
So as I gaze up at the pale moon rising,
And watch the stars start to dot the sky,
I smile at myself, content with my life,
Knowing the Goddess has helped me fly.
