Awakening
by Ash Meadows
Age Group: Adult
A crows call awakens me from my slumber.
I have hibernated in the darkness for far too long.
"Open your eyes my child, " it says "for I have much to teach you."
I arise and walk outside.
I slide down to the earth beneath me.
Like a child, I find comfort on the bosom of the Blessed Mother.
The Sun Father kisses my skin with his soft ray lips.
I smile for I am in love.
I feel renewed with each breath.
The air cleanses my soul.
I have found the path to joy, life, rebirth.
I am your child now and forever.
