An Equinox Message

As we strive upon our respective paths, many of us will reach great epiphanies, experience ecstatic states beyond the ken of this sensible world, gain the ears of Beings ancient since the birth of the first aion, become privy to the deeper world (s) and depths of self in all their dark beauty and terror, awaken to powers that have always been there, and learn a few morsels of knowledge.
In and of themselves, these facets of the jewel that is the Great Work are important: they inspire us, they motivate us, they remind us. However, one can all to easily get lost in them.
Without applying that hard won knowledge through action, we can never warrant a place amongst the Wise. Presuming divine providence or personal attainment robs us of the experience of the Work. Surviving the ordeals of the Art Magical without integrating their lessons (both harsh and merciful) invalidates one's avowed initiation. Mistaking the signposts for the summit is a trap that it is best to be ever on guard against.
At this moment of equinocital balance, with the ebb and flow of ineffable Tides caught in a dynamic tension, many branches of the Mysteries advocate a time of reflection, of admitting our faults, of accepting our triumphs, of giving thanks, and of planning for the future. Both equinoxes are dangerous points, but to those who embrace them, they are Lovers and Opportunities to those who seek Wisdom.
Remember the words of Apollon of Delphi - "Know thy self * Nothing to excess", and be blessed through the weavings of Fate.
