Celebrate Mother Earth

Age Group: Adult
The whispering wind blows through my hair,
And fills my soul with delight,
The scent of Jasmine fills the air,
On a moonlit summer night.
The fairies dance around the glen,
Their wings flitter as they twirl,
They laugh at stories of mice and men,
With the joy of a boy and girl.
The unicorns prance at the merry tune,
Their movements graceful and light,
Manes sparkle in the light of the moon,
As they join the merry sight.
The dragons fly throughout the sky,
Their bodies lean and strong,
You can hear their cheerful greeting cry,
Welcoming all who do belong.
Belong to what, you sit and ask,
I do not understand,
Is there some deed or worthy task,
That I can do for this sweet land?
There is one task that you can do,
One filled with magic and power,
To protect the Earth, and heal her too,
This day, this night, this hour.
For it is the Earth from which we grow,
She is the Mother to us all,
Without her there would be sorrow,
You would not hear the music call.
She loves us all, and fills our lives,
With purpose, meaning, and light,
It is for her safety each of us strives,
For her existence we all fight.
So join the unicorns as they prance,
And the dragons as they fly,
And the fairies as they dance their dance,
No need to wonder why.
For they celebrate the Mother Earth,
And to all the gifts she gives,
The greatest of these is our birth,
And the life each of us lives.
