Easy Breeze

The roar, the mighty roar
that clashes with the cliffs above its base
The gulls, the cawing gulls
scream fitfully in their flight
Poisedon slumbers not
in his kingdom within the sea
Mermaids bathe
in sunlight from Apollo
Sireans sing
to human men's delight
But to me
there is not but an easy breeze
For I am but an Echo
in the cliffs
And all I feel
All I say
is the easy breeze
floating my way
Author's Notes: Echo is one of my favorite myths because it tells of echos creation and of a sad romance that never took place but lead to the creation of a glorious flower. *Can you guess? =) *
