Silver Bells

The Hills of green
sit high above the valley
With green grass, so moist
Like fresh rain in the air
Sits there, a man
Beneath the Tree
He sits there, thinking of his lover
And what is to be
But, as if out of nowhere
comes a Lady
Sit upon a horse so white
Her hair ashining, upon evening's light
With the chime of silver bells in the air
Silver bells tied within the horse's hair
Though the Lady talks to the man
He hears naught but the silver bells
A kiss and hand
traded for service of a rhyme and harp
But tis not the end for the man
But the beggining of the Lady's pleasure
Though he ages naught
because of his lover
He can not forget the one of past
Her red hair, her green ribbons, her laughter as such
So he returns to Middle Earth
In search of her and lust
Author's Notes: Thomas the Rhymer, a ballad of a harper taken to Elfland then finally to return to Earth and make himself a living, if he can.
