Lillith
Born in an ageless time, before humankind
I am not a demon and I'm not a goddess.
I am a woman who was betrayed.
Adam promised me the stars and to be everything
I needed to believe...
But he forced himself onto me
taking away my freedom overriding me
in his vain attempt to be a God!
I was saved by the wolves , they took me in.
They now pay for all my sins...hunted
and hurt, bled and skinned....
They take all the punches that were mine...
He still searches every single night
searches for a way to hurt me
even though I choose to flee not fight.
My children are cursed but not by God
my children are cursed because they were born of love,
not my love for some self-serving idiot Godling
but born to me of my own choice by lying
with a being I adored!
My former lover doesn’t understand...
If he can't have me then nobody can,
What can I do ? Where do I stand?
Do I stay and fight or leave to let him win?
No, I refuse to let his vanity destroy me once
again!
No one wants to listen to the woman's tale
but I am the one who was hurt and maimed
a husband made of dust and dirt can't love
For he only sees love as being on my knees!
I will live forever and this is my curse
but each breath I draw I'll make his
new wife run!
Eve'll be his little slave, but I'll stand
at the dragon's gate ready to show her
show her the way....
Freedom and will are gifts like no others
but love that is true is what creates heroes and monsters
in you.
