Solstice Soul Cry

Solstice Soul Cry
A thousand cycles have come and gone
and still my love you die in my arms,
I know full well that when comes the ice
so shall, you, my consort cease your flight.
The Golden Sun cannot survive
within the pallor of Luna's spells.
The frost has stolen your eternal breath
my tongue cannot conjure you from death's embrace,
even our last throes of passion lead you deeper into
the grim's cold lands as the goddess must her consort
forsake for the sacred circle to run its course...
But my love soon shall the cold be stayed
as in my womb still breaths the precious seed,
born of our love, born of Yule.
Little prince soon to birth and strongly grows
as the crone to maiden fades and her mate prepares
to take...
I'll bear thee soft my little one,
my heart will cease its beat
once your life is found.
The Winter Prince will rule the land
from frosty slopes to happy southern sands.
His mother's kiss he'll never know but in her arms
shall his soul once more be known,
the sensual dance of Beltane bright
begins with the death of forest Lord and Lady
at the winter's endless night.
With this softly whispered prayer so
you come into the light,
from darkness spring and thy kingdom claim,
Lover of a thousand names.
