Dead By The Moon

I look out from the sandy shores along the beach to the starry night above. The Moon stands in front of a dark velvety background. It's light dances upon the waves that crash at my feet. The oceans mist surrounds me. Oh how I wish they would take with them my sense of self defeat.
The winds wip about me kicking sand upon my face. I feel a hardness in my stomach as my emotions start to break. My body stand there lifeless as my tears begin to fall. They rejoin the ocean because I feel it's call.
The moon beams dance and kiss my face. My legs give out and I fall with grace. As I go peace rushes over me. I slowly drift out to deeper waters. Stillness, quietness, fullness, peace. It's just the stars, ocean, and the moon beams dancing on my back.
Author's Notes: Kind of a romantic gothic image of death at the ocean. Falling into it and drowning. But still being at peace and rejoining where we all must go. This is not saying that I want to die right now but it is my hope that things will be quite for a while and sometime I only see that though this image. I hope this makes some sense. It is still a beautiful way to do a meditation to understand death if you not to scared. It is something everyone (who is of good mind) should learn about and be comfortable with.
