Candle Gazer

In the deep of the light;
As this candle shines so bright.
I see the figures come to life;
The flame will dance in hues,
of red, green, yellow and blue;
Yet the wick figure still holds true.
I sit and stare as each shape unfolds;
As if the wick has a story to be told.
I watch each flicker in this light;
and wonder why this candle might;
Speak to me from deep within;
and share the secrets of the wind.
I feel its' light of loving warmth;
And hope its' light will last till morn.
Guiding lights from ages past;
Shine bright this night and make it last.
Let its' flame burn always in me.
Let my heart and mind age with time;
but let this candle light shine in my eyes.
And warm each heart, wise enough to see;
The candles told their stories to me.
