Ana Love (anorexics' love)

i looked at myself in the mirror this morning, and crying, looked straight into my eyes, and said "how did we get ourselves into this..?"
then my face melted and distorted..
and the face of “Ana” appeared.
Thin, sullen…but I love her to the bones.
Her eyes…an empty gray.
Her hair…thin and dirty blond.
And the way the bones pertruded from her skin,
Making u think that they were stretching out
to escape their mortal prison of flesh,
Only made her seem more beautiful…
Her hand reached out from the mirror and rested upon my cheek,
With the perfect pressure of softness,
And whispered a gentle “shhhhh, my beauty…you are doing well.
But you’ve still a way’s to go.
Perfection is in your grasp.
Don’t let your weakness let it slip away…
I love you…”
And as she slipped back into my mirror…
And my own face started to reappear again,
I could hear Ana chanting “Quod me nutrit, me destruit.”
And I smiled,
knowing that my best friend,
Is only a mirror away.
Author's Notes: i have been clinically anorexic for 4 months. its turned into an obsession. i used to weigh 225 lbs. disgusting and shameful..i know. But i have lost 107 lbs so far, and its still not enough...
