Maybe. Yeah, probably.
Definitely.
But what difference does it make to a person such as myself? Could I have honestly predicted this?
Yes.
So back to the point, which is, ironically, the lackthereof. Could this all be an illusion? I'll opt for that, seems reasonable. Enough, at least, to satisfy my insecurities for the time being.
Wipe off the ink that has so imperfectly stained your skin. Can you? I think it may be impossible, what with the time you gave it to sink in. It seems now like it will forever be there, that there's absolutely no way which man has yet invented to rid yourself of this mark. But we all know that ink in any form or metaphor can last forever.
So let it fade, I suppose? That would be one way. Another would be to scrub at your body until the only trace of this flaw that remaines is a dim blue outline where the happiness once lay. Happiness in ink is fickle. You see, one can wash a mark off, but not a feeling or a moment in a memory. And even worse, any feeling that remains on skin begins to burn more with every second.
I wish I was a little more shallow sometimes.
