Modern thought can get the best of you

I'm not sure if you can tell.
We watched the people in that language she thinks she heard (but it's not) whispering, yelling, dying.
"I've loved you for so long."
And the,
"I wanted to rescue you."
But I know how that ends, see?
No one survives except for that girl over there.
She won, and she never talked to you or them either.
But in reality (outside of that crazy screen) I was thinking the same thing.
I wouldn't rescue you though.
You know that.
Just couldn't put me close to you.
Whyever not?
You can sit there next to me and not say a word.
Not even with your eyes, body, movements, etc.
And I wanted to scream out the same thing they were saying.
Reallyreallyreally.
It's getting ridiculous.
"It's not my fault, it's not my fault."
It's getting so ridiculous.
Because (hard to believe) .
She tells me everytime I see her.
There's no doubt in her mind, eye.
She's overwhelmed with something.
Starts with H and ends with 8.
Dislike doesn't cut it.
She can tell me.
And you don't follow.
At all.
Maybe I don't either?
We're funny, us.
I guess we can't say it.
Never say love.
