Fifty minutes to live

I have fifty minutes left to live
I have fifty minutes left to love
I have fifty minutes left to understand the way of life.
I sit between the roots of an old tree,
Just enjoying every breath I have left,
Every moment I have left.
I come here,
To this calming place,
Where everything seems never changing, but always changing.
I come here,
To this calming place,
So I can watch the leaves of the trees ruffle in the breeze.
I come here,
To this calming place,
To here the animals chatter like nothing is wrong (like I’m not dying) .
I come here,
To this calming place,
To smell the scent of peace and quiet.
I come here,
To this calming place,
To spend my last moments on earth,
Until I arrive at my new calming place.
