Twin Flame

I stood beside you simple and complex and all telling.
In the grave yard, dirt road ending, way under the stars
I stood beside you and I felt that you were always mine.
New years meetings brought visions and wishes.
Visions of what could happen behind doors closed.
Behind faces painted, behind heads shrouded in black.
You and your painful frame of bones, and giant eyes.
Hiding behind the mask only I could see, touching me.
Touching parts you could not see, even if I had been naked.
Yes It was magic, but not a spell like you thought.
It was in the doing and the the seeing and the wanting.
Nothing to do with candle light or burnt offerings or circles.
It was energy pure and beautiful, complete and transcending.
I stood next to you feeling whatever it is course through you spark.
Finally feeling alive, leaving the death like comfort of what I had survived so far behind.
