Waves of Melancholy

I'm falling into the vast abyss of an endless heart,
Stained with the pain and emptiness that rots there,
Green and sickly it has become,
Waves of deep blue melancholy beat against the shores of
What I now call home,
The place where malevolence and malice are bred,
Where a new breed of hate thrives and flourishes,
The haven where I disentangle feelings
Like strings in a knot,
Confounded by how easily some coincide with one another,
Hating, loving, hoping...
Praying for someone to share it all with,
Here in my tower, I sit by the hour,
Waiting for love,
A love that conquers time and death,
That travels eternity to reach a heart,
That is pure and unselfish,
A love that is dark and dangerous and takes risks,
A riot of the heart...
But then I retreat back to my pale and sickly heart,
And there I shall remain,
Until love comes for me...
Author's Notes: this poem was written on 9-20-04
Sitting in 4th period, having free time, I came up with this poem. This, as well as all my other poems, means a great deal to me. I don't think I am such a bad person, but that doesn't seem to be enough for anyone. Please...please, if feel anything thats even close to what I'm feeling, email me.
