Cutting Ties

You gave her what you wouldn't give me
finding in a moment, your own reality
and stunned I am with an unusual fury
that our dreams are undone and can never be!
But what has come to past is just a seed
that your life continues, though mine will never be-
twin flames of youth hold and never to see
as lifetimes continue for you and for she.
Mine to thee all gone and we to ne'er again meet
as foretold once before 'til a cold winding sheet
My duty is done and you found the way
for she is the anchor that will not let you sway.
Karma for me done and one life truly met
as I cut free those bindings of one's old debts
and find new life's workings at the turning set,
the Wheel's given motion as promises are kept!
Author's Notes: Originally written in 10/13/04, I find it an auspicious date to find the end of a karmic debt and the beginning of a new life for myself...funny, isn't it, how the familiar becomes your nightmare as you grieve...and then all of a sudden, it all clicks...the pain, the worry, the anger, the love....and it doesn't hurt anymore or worry you that it'll never happen again. I did it, you know...accomplished a wonderful feat - I paid this karmic debt, and it is over. And I walk on.....and love....and understand.....
