Summer Skin Of Night

Mists enfold and surround
as I am regaled of heartsongs
upon the summer skin of night.
Cicadas blend forested whispers,
the dark earth hums the beating
of my heart in sync.
Moaning of trees scratch at the
core of roots grasp as blades
of green swords soften with dew.
Alone in this midnight song,
I am enraptured of Her aria;
a blending of sweet erotic tones.
And wait for the moment
when it is my turn to sing.
Author's Notes: 6/25/05 - 'Tis but a moment of night's pleasure found in the stillness of quiet, listening with my heart to hear the resonation that is SHE, and in doing so, penned my adoration of the night and the song in my heart at the joy of being so blessed to be a part of it all.
