Good Bye My Friend

Your exit from my life was quick.
Leaving all your pain, but leaving me, who truly cares, to go insane.
You touched my heart in a kind and gentle way,
Giving me so much beauty in my life.
Always giving more than you had and never asking for anything in return.
Your shoulders carried the weight of the world without a complaint.
We could communicated without saying nary a word.
You saw right threw my defenses, not letting me hide behind my walls.
Where do I go, what do I do, how do I live without seeing your smile again?
I feel you at home, at work and most of all in my heart.
I miss you with every breath I take.

Author's Notes: This is for a very dear dear friend of mine. Her spirit left us way too quickly.
Some of my poetry is pretty dark. Only because when I am going through a rough patch, I sit down with paper and pen trying to get the feelings out. I always feel much better after wards.
