He is very complex.
He is happy when I come home.
He is sad when I leave
He seems to know how to make me laugh.
He seems to know how to comfort me when I cry.
He loves to be with me.
He lets me know when he wants to be on his own.
His brown eyes are always kind.
He knows how to put light back into mine.
He is strong when I am weak.
He is courageous when I am frightened.
He expresses nothing but unconditional love.
We could only be so lucky as to learn something from Jake, my dog
Author's Notes: Jake is a all white full blooded German Shepard. I got him from the humane society. I have since this poem added another fur-child. His name is Kane and an all black German Shepard. I also received him from the humane society. I don't know what I would do with out them.
