Shadowed Promise

Long were the days when
shadows played here
softly and unawares that
light would shatter their world
and so, kept to another,
wrested their seasons thrice
to whittle nothings
as passions were leashed...
Standing by,
watching love burn cruel
my eyes weep at the blister,
your tongue driving the winds away
as the flash of tempered ember
takes away the sapphired
night and the shadows that
play dragon in these worlds.
'Pon worded winds drifting black,
swords draw to attack parry swift
death to find my eyes a tear
of loss..my own honor held sword
in check, yet seen here the desolation
upon love's battlegrounds
I wonder why do angels choir resound
with disharmony and death?
This be not a playground but a
battlefield - shame on all that seek
heart's curse here, love gains no prisoners
but welcomes the genuine touch
of everlast within release for
the promise comes to you soon
should you seek growth amongst these blades.....
