Her Gift

Sleeping quiet, I awoke to Her whispers
of caress in a field of wildflowers
beckoning me to traverse and absorb,
releasing the dark that stained me.
Scents of hazy summer flowed
to the heart of me, each glazing crisp touch
whistled a tune familiar and thus awakening
the memory of happiness.
So elusive in waking hours, I found myself
swimming in the seas of velvet warmth
while my heart was unraveling the odyssey
of Eternity’s passionate tapestry.
Each colour and texture draped across
flesh yearning for this enchantment rolled into
the kiss of sky-blue and I willingly became
captivated by the glistening jewel of time.
My spirit, ever rapturous, melted in the
tumultuous threads of Life’s fragrance
and suspended thus, discovery of True Love
transcended and became Destiny.
Inhaling deep, I breathed in this splendour,
each breath revitalizing my lagging spirit,
the whisper found it’s way to my lips
and upon drowning, became the song of Me.
And as I wandered thru Her dreamscaped vista,
I began to awake enraptured, embraced to reality’s dawn
so refreshed, I was rejuvenated; eyes no longer dull
I envision now my pathway’s glisten, so renewed.
