Yule invocation to hern

The Dark Night comes,
The Mother sleeps,
in her womb the Oak King keeps,
Arise Young Hern and bring the light,
Arise Young Hern and chase the night,
Arise Young Hern, let Holly pass,
to summerlands and rest at last,
Your time is near,
The light half year,
Arise and bring your lifes torch here,
Arise and shake this winters blight,
Arise and bring the day to night.
WELL MET GREAT LORD OF THE FORREST!
BRIGHT BLESSINGS AND MANY RETURNS!
Author's Notes: This is an invocation to Hern written for Yule.I used the pan european Oak/Holly King mythology as the main backdrop because it resinated so well with the season. Use it in good heath in December during a fire ritual. (Just make sure you don't play burn the witch) LOL
