Where Only Love Dwells

In whirlwinds do our mouths discover
thoughts spoken rushed in nuance
and brushed in all those sensitive places
shadowed by forbidden fruit
This bridge that separates us
is only in our minds
just step forward and walk thru
those winding roads of curve and flesh
unveil the promise held in my hands
view all worlds as ours….
And his foot held to the stone of man
walked past my eyes
indifferent to my plea that hung pierced
on his deafened ears
Yes, walked in moonlight shadows
and fled this sphere
Grief holds no shadows back
but embraces the crimson pool
not because his place is amongst Gods
but for the agony that mine is not
Selfish in my heart that I would not
relinquish his rapture to another bolder than I,
I fell into despair’s grasp and closed that
man-hole above me
So captured was I that in the darkness
I found light’s love unrepentant in its glee
as I whored myself to another’s whim
just waiting for destruction of my flesh
unbound

and in the broken doorway of my dreams
he stands, hands reaching for the ties that bind
to rend and repair in
ephemeral kisses of mist
sweet is the ecstasy found there
in this light that holds time’s hourglass
shattering each glassy sand
to infinite as I am taken willingly
where only love dwells
