You Are Not Unworthy

Withdrawn, a soul shrinks
tattered, hardened and aching.
Viewing all who attend
unworthy.
Undeserving, a soul twists
knotted, growing and shrieking.
Screaming all who attend
of agony.
Yet, softening lines with kindness
caresses upon his brow,
providing endless energy and
surrounding his heart with love -
the soul retreats.
Believing and voicing his presence
undesirable and unworthy,
he is caught within wells of apathy.
Yet believes himself free.
Outstretched, my hands hold him still
between this world and next.
I see with eyes not my own
golden unwavering light.
Fighting with foreknowledge given
I gain ground each day
His life evolving and blooming
comes the realization.....
