'Tween Nevermore

Dream with me
in the mists of woven threads
where gold blends
to silvered moon-slip caresses
as our feet touch on padded mosses
hushed
invoke the oath
of essence and supplication,
releasing the passion of blazing promise
‘tween midnight’s twilight and nevermore
Silent stones gather together,
those ancient watchers,
circled and powerful
in quiet runed reverence
when the flames build the guardian pyre
will we then know
the scale of radiance
where the nectar flows to the cup
O, Greet the Lady in her Glory
and
the Lord in his cloaked elusive Dark;
They who see
with entwined sight
rule in luminous intoxication this night
to pour the abundance of raptured flesh
between thee and mine;
for thee and mine
Bound to earth we are,
lain to fire’s flame we hold
with the blessing of water
giving way to wing’d flight;
ours the Spirit
where hands clasp
in loving immortality,
such is the exquisite desire and
blessed euphoria
that liberates the soul
Hush in the falling whispers,
the blessing
‘tween thee and me,
our hearts gained
lost no more,
found each the other
our rhythm bound
the sway of tree and limb
the quintessence of allure
evermore
‘tween midnight’s twilight
and nevermore
