The Call

The call of the hounds
baying thru the night
hunted for blood
without foresight.
The horn full blown
clarion and clear
Hunted becomes Hunter
with the Goddess near.
Sword in hand
jarring hollow call
Blade to blade
only one will fall.
Warring sound falling
one on one for all time bound
Light and Dark
a dance of blood to be found.
Weapons dropped to the ground
Both gasp at illumination bright
One falls to madness
the other Goddess bound as is Her right.
But the laws of Blood
which one cannot fortell
The signs posted everywhere
The balance - a death knell.
Within the laws of Spirit
and those Honor-Bound
Will find justice meted
and Her love found.
Sword to sheath
the two as one
As She has willed it
So mote it be done.
