Catnip

He ate his last bitty, my little sh*tty kitty,
cause the old cat's dead.
A long time with I he's been, why I've grown so keen of
this spooky creeping creature that had chosen me.
El Gato Diablo would scamper through the house
right ear bent, spindly legs, coat full of louse.
Before he got buried in my flower bed,
the kitty would sneak up on me so I might pet his head
Fur falling out, eerie meowel, on my lap all the while
He might be icky, but he's not sick-y
The cat is so damn old
His fur's falling out from all the years
But I'd still scratch him behind the ears
Because he's a friend of mine
Although I miss my kitty, now that he is dead
he's now enjoying endless skies, no pain no dread
Of becoming old, decrepit and senile in the head
He'll wait in Summerland for me with other kitty friends
That I knew before and after he had reached his final end
They'll play and purr do what kitties do,
until my time is through
When I'll pet them in a field of flowers under Heaven's blue
