Do You See?

Do you see what I am to you
- a friend in need
with the world upon her
shoulders?
Do you see that I can see
- your life in retrospect
and accept your world
as mine?
Do you see that I hold the key
- to what will be
in my life and yours
in my heart?
Do you see that it is my choice
- to go where I must
with and without you
at this time?
Do you see that you are you
- a flawed being like myself
evolving and intertwined
with the universe?
Do you see that I am who I am
- a woman with a heart
soul and body
not yours but my own?
