How Can I
by Cee Are
Age Group: Adult
How can I tell you what you ought to
forgetting the bearers of the Water
and the changes of Orion's coming star
and passing of two fish back to the sea
Yet now you grasp at cold order
to hold at bay - chaos and disorder
of the coming of the daughter
inside, who may yet not be bourne
and well, that's killing we
As you take to poisioned water
forgetting all about whose daughter
of which goddess you truly are
and every named bit of us a part of a star
How can I tell you what you ought to
will words pass numbed and deafened ears,
ever you to hear ?
Till down comes the order
to march on your kith and your kin
and once it's begun to begin
how can you avoid the slaughter
of all their dreams and dreamers
that you've once said - you loved
Will then - your will awaken
from the cold embrace of iron
before the last of Trees has fallen
before the gates of fairie
to see it's killing we
To see US - there is no 'Other'
and She needs all her brothers
if She is to heal all of you and we
into the freedom of the all of we
That is each and every one of us `
In the light of no clear seasons
As I speak to and of allegory
In the dark of cold logics and unreason
You list by rank, file and category
every wonder of being in nature
you must not be allowed to be
For it's just too much too dangerous
to allow our freedoms to endanger us
or let the land belong to us
we who walk the earth
no stanger than dust
we who dream to be free . . . just to be
But we must have a military
We've been told so often and again
It's just so very necessary
Just like all these prisons
like all the required divisions
between you and me
When really all the causes of crime
Are right there every night in prime time
so we better be watching and beliving
everything that is put on T.V.
lest we wake up and just be free
But for now you work for Mad Bankers
and the corp's that enslave us
who belive that 'cause they print $ paper
thay can consume it all like cankers
and mother earth - they'll just rape her
as long as you are divided
and we are not free.
