Sad is the shadow when he's shot at by light,
Sad is the figure when alone in the night,
Sad is the howl torn from his throat,
Sad is the pain flowing from his coat,
Sad is the twitching of his frail looking body,
Sad is the blood that covers the earth,
Sad is the spirit leaving his eye,
Sad is the watching of the death,
Sad is the seeing of the spark going out,
Sad is the howl from far off in the night,
Sad is the yearning in the eyes before leaving,
Sad is the life as it becomes useless,
Sad am I as I watch the life die,
Sad will I be as his family mourns him,
Sad will I be when I watch them come back,
Sad will I be as I remember him forever,
Sad at the loss of beauty and grace,
Sad at the loss of courage and face,
Sad at the loss of freedom and joy,
Sad at the loss of that one young boy,
Sad at the loss of the one in the night,
Sad at the loss of the one with the sight,
Sad at the loss of our one true friend,
Sad at the loss of our friend, the Wolf.
Author's Notes: we all loss the one we love and yet even though we remember we can forget too and if we dont we dread on the past
