Invokation of the Goddess

Age Group: Adult
Gracious Lady of Moon and Tides, Mother Earth,
You are the rhythm we dance to.
You are the beating heart, the chirping cricket, the crystal vibration.
You are the drum in the forest, the waves upon the rock, the music of the spheres.
You are the sweet curve of a green hill, the smell of warm loam in the sunshine.
You are hard as rock and soft as baby skin.
You cradle us, protect us, nurture us, sustain us.
We call upon you.
Embrace us with your love and strength; and help us to grow as we are able.
In joy and gratitude we will strive
To reflect, generate and radiate your love and positive energy
In all that we are and all that we do.
To live thus is to be blessed.
Author's Notes: Just a simple prayer. I wrote this for my handfasting ritual about a year and a half ago. I'm pleased with it because it so clearly expresses how I think of the Goddess and what She means to me.
