My Book of Shadows

Age Group: Adult
A cup of coffee and a quiet place to think,
My journal in hand and a pen full of ink.
Words describing dreams and worries and passions and hopes,
My safe place to jot down all my souls little notes.
I ponder over times I said yes, and should have said no.
Writing down my feelings, allowing my thoughts to just flow.
Clarity and understanding frequently come to me,
As the pen glides across the paper, it's all there for me to see.
My Book of Shadows knows the inner me, the part I so often hide,
Like a good friend, it holds my secrets silently tucked inside.
Author's Notes: Journaling in my Book of Shadows can be a source of healing.
