Hear Me!

Frozen Heart,
frozen mind
frozen thoughts
frozen in time.
Throwing away my heart
I lost my mind
with no thought of him
and destroyed our life.
I misunderstood
and the confusion reigned
until I found my connection
and soul remained.
I hear him now
deep within the night
and know that he is safe
and am comforted that all is right.
He hates me now
mistrusts each word I prose
and given the circumstances
I would too I suppose.
But my thoughts are of him
whether he likes it or not
It's my fault this time
for breaking the knot.
I've learned a hard lesson
and learned it true
I hope, dear reader
that you will too.
Never take advantage
of those that you love,
never give away
what was given to you from above.
Heartache and pain
is felt far and wide
The loss of my half-side
has made me (too late) very wise.
Author's Notes: 5/1/04 - A hard and brutal lesson learned. One that will never be repeated in this lifetime - this is my own public announcement (as you will) .
I ask that all of you hold those that you love in high regard, trust and communicate your feelings, wants & needs. And love each other deeply and passionately as if each day is your last. The best gift we can give each other is the gift of LOVE.
