A Lost Soul

How have I come to this place...
Where has my path gone?
It once was so clear, I know I could see the dawn
Morning rays bright and glorious
Have faded to darkest grey
Night hovers, just beyond the gate
I've been travelling for so long
Searching for something I know I should find
My soul crying for something more
Something to soothe my mind
To kill this wretched ache
Crying, lost, I know not what to do
At this gate, should I sit?
And hope the sun shines through again
Or should I chance the darkness
hat it just may take me where I need to go....
