Can you learn the silence ?
The absence of multiple conversations ,
Muffled and jarring , clashing voices
To be in the center of yourself floating in warm honey
Your breath the merest sigh of distant
Waves on a far , far shore .
To re - learn the importance of sounds
Within not with out this silence
To nestle within my heartbeats as I am within yours
Listen within this quiet sursurrsating silence I am here
Whispering not quite words ssshhh
Listen . . . . .
I will speak to your dreams
You can near hear me here
Can you see within this ?
Try to un - learn the rapid shifting gaze
Look slowly and steadily at these irises
I am around , with , and behind them
First one then the other then both
Can you see me looking back at you
Can I see you looking at me looking at you yes s s s . . .
And who is looking at whom
When our eyes lock softly like this
I will be in your dreams
You can see me thru you here
Can you feel this ?
A trembling smooth tracery of skin upon skin
The slow slide of hands
As they walk towards and across each other
The clasp of warm roving hands
Around your back supporting and seeking
Can you feel the wetted sleekness of your lips upon mine
Can you sense your breath
Quicken and deepen into a long sigh
Mmmmmaahhhh . . . . .
I will move in your dreams
You can reach out and be touched here
