My Summer Solstice

Age Group: Adult
nuts and berries abound.
the buzz of a bee
and a friendly chirp from the robin,
that's my summer solstice.
puppies and kittens are friends.
the squirrels chase one another.
everyone with high hopes
that the first harvest ripens quickly.
that's my summer solstice.
dawn to dusk,
the sun god shows his might,
while at the cool summer night,
mother goddess moon shows her love.
that's my summer solstice.
so gather round yee pagans,
light the fire and burn those candles.
flick your broom
and raise your arms to the moon.....
for this is your summer solstice.
Author's Notes: hi everyone! i hope that you enjoy my poetry as much as i do. i attended a summer solstice meeting on 6 21 2011 at a friends house, it was magickal and enlightening. take care..blessed be!
