Reaching for you
by Cee Are
Age Group: Adult
Reaching for you with words
imperfectly understood
on both ends
of this time lapse
conversation
sightless and touchless
floating adrift
in a sea of irregular verbs a foreign
language
stutters off my tongue
and confuses my ears
until a vision strikes a moment of emotion
shaped into dreaming beauty
by fire and wheel
a molten stream fills a shape
and cools into splendor
Water and Sand
to form it's crowning
a sea - born stone like
sunlight off wavetops in the morning
mated together gem and gold
they form the echo of your
words out of our past
(and I hope, future)
which pulled a fantasy into
a reality
of Love
