Mabon-Harvest of Souls

the plow cut Gaia, the rain soothed the wound.
the Gods have been with us from birth,
and then through death.
Gaia grew the food,
and her children gathered the bounty.
through her, we enjoy the fruits of labor.
the fertility ritual came to pass from Beltane,
we asked the Gods and the Gods gave.
blessed are the children of Gaia.
while the aged leave us,
the new comes in.
as the children reap the corn, the Gods reap souls.
may the Gods allow you to grow as the corn.
may the Gods give you many seasons of return.
may the Gods take you to their bosom.
so gather your baskets,
swing your scythe
and gather the harvest in love and thanks.
