I've lost the

I've lost the words
like you
They've vanished without a trace
Just the shards
Pierce the surface
Broken can't be's
Will not
Tempt any great art
From this pen
Confused pain makes me try
Hard to leave when you
Cannot say goodbye
I cried too late
And loved too soon
Now the near future
Is awaiting a blue moon
Time stands stricken
by the cost
Of a love never returned
presumed dead or lost
