I wanted us
by Cee Are

I wanted us
to be
caring deeply About each other
sharing with
one another
Not afraid to show
feelings, opinions and share;
glances, embraces and
snuggling in each others' neck and hair
How shall I color these moments our
lives touched
or failed
to touch . . . did we ever touch ?
Or were we in the same places just by
happenstance ?
Why would you write for these colors
an epitaph ?
A coral pink
A warm dusky blue
A star pierced black and silverwhite
A gray flashed with hot cherry red
A strobe lit fluorescent green
A smoky and burnt orange pulse
A tentative trace of rainbows
A wisp of ghostly white
A pale and empty violet
