I sit smiling

I sit smiling in the silence
that is somehow tender
Waiting, looking, watching, - - - - - - - - -
The slow curve of your face break
Into a smile
I feel circles of warmth spread
Like ripples in a sunlit pond,
From your eyes
Cascading onto me
Slow sweet.
I listen to you almost softly sing
The song playing on the radio
Your voice lilts, like the breeze on
The wings of a butterfly, like the
Warm vibrant purr of a large cat
