I see now

Age Group: Adult
I see now that either you did not understand
or you did not accept .
I am sorry .
Perhaps I should not have written of love
( or compassion or understanding ) when there
was none towards me inside you .
If my words have been or are bitter now I ask
pardon for I have been wounded too many times .
I wrote to someone of answers
for questions that had been asked by the mind
But not of their soul .
Truth comes because of the laughter of
a child or hearing the soft words of lovers .
But we slam the door of affection in her
face and deal with her as an enemy .
I do not know why I write this, you did
not feel before, why should you now ?
Perhaps you will never, perhaps not until I or
you are gone from this earth .
Even the wisest of people bow under
the weight of love .
