I live in a room
by Cee Are
Age Group: Adult
I live in a room that is under the ground
I'm here for the silence
but there's always that sound
It starts with no violence
then the echoes rebound
The soiled sheets stink and stick to my back
I'm sick of the waste
The stench is so thick
Every second my hopes are under attack
This is nothing like the dreams that
I taste
There is no silence now
as this love dies away
The echoes return
and tears start to burn
I already wish it was yesterday
`cause the sounds of those words
are here to stay
I had heard them before
it's like a drop of rain
so good to get wet
that you don't use your brain
you forget that the heat will
dry you without any gain
