I cannot wait

for a tomorrow with you
I cannot exist
on memories of a yesterday
that never happened
I cannot delude
myself with countless todays
that take forever to happen
I cannot believe
in tomorrows that seem
bright one moment
and bleak the next
It's more than
my heart that you hold
it's my light
Seven days alone together
and I could live
more than day to day over an
abyss of dark
Seven nights alone together
could change your life
and show you the smallest bit
of my love for you
