Hope steals quietly

Hope steals quietly
what she needs always aware
of just how many times she has
died awaiting
an offering hand
so now she cannot
wait desperately needed
she uses every trick in the book
to awake compassion
and despairing in her own
needing
not for who she is
nor what she is
but just to be held
and cherished
while
she sleeps
dreaming of
an offering hand
as her tears
tear the page
So she steals
to stay alive
can you for give her ?
