Don't think I'm

Don't think I'm fooling myself about
feeling affection for you
It's no mirage
You know in your heart how my heart
races
at the sight or sound of you
I've never asked for more than when we are
together
for you to be with me
to talk to share to see
to listen to care to touch
to experience with and thru each other
Don't fool yourself into thinking
I don't sense your pride in being able
to get me to do or not to do almost anything
you want
Don't belive I don't feel why those walls of
yours are up
You know that what you've asked and
done
would have broken any friendship
I feel the muted regret of yours' for not giving
more back
As well as the fear of love
that keeps you away
And I hear the reasons you console
yourself
with . . . I know they are less
than
what
a kiss
would
bring us both
Hope
