Walled away
by Cee Are
Age Group: Adult
Walled myselves away
again today
After opening for Yule
just could not stand against
heiring and feeling
all the hurts
in the world
Those near
even those far away
for yet another night and day
Walled away again today
from how wrong
the world feels
Walled today again away
Wondering what can be done
If working openly together . . .
- but no, too dangerous, too many
differences to realize unity
And no, the impositions
by others in their otherness
is what led inexorably to today
Walled again myselves away
from what is
as well as what could be
Oh ! the possibilty . . .
Yet we few
Are not even quite two
too few
to heal everything
and we, we cannot even
help ourselves without crossing oaths taken
when we learned to know to dare
to will to be silence
Is all of our hopes to be only
inspiring a few to grow out of their otherness ?
Walled away . . . Help ?
