Enslaved Angel (Revised)

Tattered clothes, tattered wings,
Horrid place of ugly things.
Around my neck a metal ring,
Uncomfortable damning thing.
Chain attached me to the wall,
In this dark room I feel so small.
No light to see my foe or friend,
Please just let this madness end.
I hear their voices & see the dead,
Remembering sisters for whom I've bled.
Here I am that all may see,
I hold the Goddess close to me.
At night I cried myself to sleep,
Hearing howls & growls of creeps.
They've torn my wings so I can't fly,
No one may hear this lullabye.
A sadly thing it is to be . . .
An Enslaved Angel such as me.
Author's Notes: I wrote this many years ago when I was young, and it helped me get through some really rough times almost unscathed.
