Whispers

Tiny chatterings
grating upon nerves
stretched thin;
hunted shame
rippling through muscles
knotted tight;
its paranoia a driving force
within the scope
of madness.
Voices resounding
a cacophany shrieking
distending senses;
muted pain
soaring spikes
tripled growth;
its evolution disharmonizing
echoing beyond
all thought.
Resplendent hues
vivid to the beholder
the sight
almost too much
to bear,
crashing against
tones -
it is the destruction
of the mind.
Author's Notes: Written in 6/99 & dedicated to Scott & Tanya.
I tried to write about the descriptive force of Bipolar Disorder that has grasped these two people in its greedy fist and turned their world (s) inside out, ripping their families apart - based on a conversation with Scott.
